Adult daughters who dont get along with their moms?

i hope im not the only one who doesnt have a close relationship/friendship with my mom. its been this way since i was little. we have always butted heads and disagreed on things. she's very rigid and im flexible, shes aggressive, im more calm about things. things always have to be done her way, but i try and find a better way. thats the way it was growing up. now that im an adult woman, married with children, she still wants to control things. i dont call like i should cuz i know im going to be ridiculed for some crap i did. shes so picky about things. either i dont call enough or i should have called and not texted her. she always wants to know things about my life before anyone else in the family or she gets huffy. wtf. am i the only one with a mom like this??? its so annoying. how many of ya'll have a similar situation, and what does your mom do to irritate you??
